Help needed kitting out or crib and moses basket?
New to parenting, I'm confused by all of the various things that you can buy for moses baskets and cribs (we have both).
What purpose do bumpers serve and are they dangerous?
Should we be buying blankets/covers in a certain special small size?
Should we buy a waterproof sheet/mattress protective cover?
What type of moses basket mattress should we buy? Can we take the mattress out of his pram and use that for both moses basket and pram?

For the moses basket, may I suggest not wasting your money on special sheets for the mattress. Just buy a few pillowcases, they work perfectly well and are a quarter of the price. Buy a mattress that fits snugly in the basket, you don't want any gaping. Chances are that you won't be able to use the same mattress for the moses basket as the pram, but go onto toys'r'us bablies website and you can find the measurements of each type of mattress on there.
