Cheerleading vs Cross Country?
I know this is a decision I need to make myself. But...I am so sick of cheerleading. I am on Varsity and a flyer. The girls on my team are so catty and mean and they are all party girls. And thats just the total opposite of me. I have no friends on the team and positively miserable. The only thing holding me back is that we just finished learning our routine and as a flyer with no one to take my place, if i quit i would totally let them down and id feel bad. not to mention the girls would hate me even more than they do now. My parents are making me do a sport so as an alternative i want to try cross country. So I am at a loss of what to do, stick with cheerleading and be miserable for 2 seasons and let my team down, or go with cross country and do what I want to do for once?
PS- Also our first competition is in December so thats how long they would get to find a replacement if i do quit.
If you have no friends on the team then why do you care if you let them down. Why should some people who dont care about you make a difference in your happiness? Go with Cross Country and make your own decisions. In the end do what makes you happy because those who mind don't matter and those who matter dont mind.....
