What is this noise coming from my van?
I have a whistle like sound coming from the front driver's side of my van. Also every once in a while when I stop and try to go it almost feels like my tires are sticking to the pavement and then are freed up to go. Could this be a wheel bearing or is it something worse?n Also I get a lot of black brake dust on the outside of my hub caps.I have changed my brake pads 5 times in the last couple of years. I recently also changed the rotors.
Whistle could be a door seal. Sticking could be the disc brakes are not releasing smoothly and may ned to be checked to see if binding.
