memory foam mattress topper is too hot!?
I bought a 2.5 inch thick memory foam "topper" from Costco and while it's very comfortable it's too hot. Does memory foam breathe? The other night I woke up sweating even though there is a down mattress cover over the memory foam. My back was actually hot to the touch. I wasn't sweating due to a hot bedroom; it was about 65 degrees.
I'm thinking about getting rid of it and buying a Pillow Top Mattress.
OK, crappy question but I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.
I'm thinking the down mattress cover is what's making it so hot. Take that off, put on a cotton one & see how that does for you. I bet you are much more comfortable during the night & not getting so hot. Between the foam & the down, it's probably holding in heat. A cotton one would let the foam "breathe" a little more. Not a crappy question.
