How to buy a Memory Foam Topper?
I was looking to buy my parents and myself memory foam toppers. I have a full size bed and they have a king. My sister has a queen and she already has the 2". i am not sure if i should buy 2" or is the 3" better. i also hear that the heavier it is, the firmer it is. However the heaviest i am finding is 4 LBS. i am almost certain that my dad likes a firmer bed then me...
i also wanted to know does it matter if it is smooth flat memory foam or the ones with the ridges on top...which is more comfortable?
Please help...i dont want to make the investment and come out unhappy...

I first thought foam toppers were really good products.
I spent big dollars and got a proper latex one (from the tree, not man made) and I am regretting it.
At first it was so comfortable but as time went on the foam did not stay firm and now I wake up each day with aches and pains in my back and shoulders. I am very soon going to be throwing it away and sleeping without one.
I would still with the egg carton type design foam topper as they are cheaper and can be replaced fairly inexpensively when they start to sag.
The most important thing for your parents especially is a good supporting mattress although a good mattress at any age is important.
Make some more enquiries before you rush out and buy the memory foarm. What guarantee do they have? How long are they expected to last and give support? Can it be easily cleaned?
