I'm looking for a heavy duty vinyl Fitted Mattress Cover?
Sears used to carry them. but no longer. The ones you find at most dept. or discount stores tear so easily. I looked at one site that had 5 gauge but the 1 review said it ripped immediately. I use a thick mattress cover over them and they still tear. I do not want a zippered one, The matress AND me slipped right down to the floor the first night!
Try a Protect a Bed mattress protector. They aren't vinyl, they're made of a woven polyurethane which is very thin, but EXTREMELY durable.

They fit over your mattress like a fitted sheet, they're machine washable and you can tumble dry them.
